Michelle's Dress

I just finished this custom wedding dress for Michelle. She had me make a short dress with a removable long skirt and train so that she can make sure she can still get her groove on at the reception, which I think is a killer idea!! There will also be a vintage pin that she had made that will go over the gather on the short dress. Very classy!!

We started off with this image:

This dress cost $400 and is made out of a very stretchy nylon with a satin belt.

Molly's Dress

I made this dress in roughly 30 hours. It cost about $600 including fabric. It is made out of a high end Satin with a Silk Organza petty coat, making this a very formal dress despite the more casual length and simple cut.

WEDDING DRESSES WITH AMAZING SLEEVES

I am always so sad that people who want dresses with sleeves commit themselves to a hideous cookie cuter type. I just want to say that there are some AMAZING wedding dresses out there with sleeves. They can be more elegant and beautiful than many of the typical sleeveless or strapless wedding dresses and add a lot more room for artistic expression and bodily form. Here are some examples.

Niki's Dress

I constructed this dress from scrap from a photograph of an Oscar De La Renta Dress that Niki picked out. We made a lot of alterations from the photo in order to make it look more vintage/modern. The supplies cost roughly $200 and it took me about 60-80 hours.

Elise's Dress

I constructed this dress from scratch from a photograph that Elise picked out. The photo was sleeveless but Elise wanted sleeves and a higher neck line and she said that I could do the top however I wanted otherwise. Same with the back. It took me about a week and a half (60-80 hrs) and supplies costed about $150.
